Daniel Syropoulos is a retired teacher, cantor of the Cathedral of the Annunciation. He arrived in Rhodes in 1963, as deputy chief of the gendarmerie, where he served for seven years, leaving the gendarmerie in 1969, when he was appointed a teacher on the island. He has been a cantor in the holy church of the Annunciation for over fifty years.
